I haven't had a chance to take any pictures yet, so I got this off the Honda website... but it is the same make/model/color as the one I bought.

Congrats. I'm a car enthusiast... My first new car, about ten years ago, was a Honda Accord.
I really like the Element. It's a cool design with lots of unique features.

MY first new car EVER was about 3 months ago; the Nissan Frontier Crew Cab V6.
Loooooooooovvveeee it!
I'm getting my first new car next week :D
Well yeah.. my first car also. But my first new car too.. So kinda two for the price of one.
I don't think I'll ever buy a brand new car. I don't want to have to worry about scratching the damn things paint.
Congrats though! Looks like a bright car! It must be quite cool inside :D

Cars have metal all around them for a reason, to get hit.
If my car gets dented or scraped, thats just fine, its what they put the body on for in the first place. I could care less.
Not so forgiving about my DVX though.
I hope you never have to replace the windshield in that element. They can be a pain, and I've seen some crazy install jobs on those things.
Those really are the perfect production vehicle. You can fit so much stuff in there, and there's tons of tethers and stuff too, isn't there?

Great choice Larry. We bought an Element last spring. We love it! Great video/photography vehicle. I've mounted a small tripod on the roof and either take out the sunroof and pop thru that, or stand on the tailgate and shoot. The rear seats either fold up, or remove completely. 240 watt stereo with subwoofer, and the iPod plugs into the aux plug perfectly. Yes TC, there are lots of tie downs and little storage nooks. We shoot lots of homes and communities for home builders. I shoot from the roof while my wife drives. Works great. I really feel its the perfect video/photography vehicle. And it was only a little over $20000 new.

When I was a dumb teenager  we used to get those plastic trays they use to serve food at fast food restaurants. Then we would stand on them and hold onto the door of a car while someone drove it FAST down the street. It was a lot of fun until the plastic tray would wear through, and your rubber shoe tread would grab the street and throw you face first into the gravel at 50 MPH

in my teen years i managed an arcade at the mall, and we used to collect those trays from the food court, and stack them together, and have a tray breaking contest. to see who could bust through the most trays at once. i think the record was near 13, but we were all into martial arts. after the store closed we would push the games aside and have sparring matches in the store, then after we beat eachother up wed order a pizza and play games till midnight or whatever. we also used to sit in the back roo playing resident evil, or shooting our paintball guns out the door at the jcpenny across the back lot. ..ahhhh i could tell you some stories.. lol anyway we also tried sledding behind a car on some trays.. and if i remember correctly someone took out a mailbox after hitting a snowbank and getting airborn, and we called it quits.
