I will be there! I need to get Jarred to show up with a batch of the DVX-USER batteries, so I can just pay him cash there on the show floor- save him the paypal, and save me the shipping. Then think of the moolah he'd have for the casinos!

Can't say I blame him. I wouldn't want to be carrying around a huge box of batteries all over the convention center when he could be enjoying the show. I'm sure the 10 freebies will leave his hands within minutes of arrival at the show.

haha yeah.. to get a freebee you gotta be sweating in the DVXuser Tshirt. I dont make money off the batteries so me hauling them around in the desert would be a major pain in the but, for no good reason.

Alrighty, I've seen an actual Panasonic ad for a new camera being premiered at NAB, here's the specs on the ad:
DVCPRO-HD, DVCPRO-50, DVCPRO-25, DV
1080i, 720p, 24p, 30p, 60i
true 16:9 1/3" ccds
16:9, 4:3
priced well under $10,000, maybe in $5 g's range
Didn't say anything about any type of tape format, looks like it is just that P2 card
Anyone else heard or seen this? or am I just way behind on the breaking news?

That sounds like speculation... and there is a lot of that right now.
