Hey all. Here my first video with the AF100. Shot in -20c weather in about one hour.

*note - The blown lights and harsh grade are completely intentional. My next video will be more standard coloring and a "correct" exposure.

*lenses used were Canon FD 24 2.8SSC and 50 1.4SSC

Liking the energy here. That's one way to stay warm!

Nice job. Really like thetones of black-blue skin and I think the white practical lights are perfect as they are.

Papa - Funny you should say that- I was picturing the parkade scene from The Dark Knight when I was shooting this.

Mark - Thank you for the kind comments. It is truly my pleasure to share.

bgundu - Yes, Brian is filled with energy. He is actually my old roommate and woke up many times to him krumping at 3am. He was sweating and my hands were frozen to my gini rig handles. I will never forget gloves again.

Shooter - Happy to hear that you like it. I am pretty happy with the color I got out of it as well. I was initially trying to not blow the lights out at all, but had difficulty getting a good exposure because of the contrast between his skin tone and the harshness of the lights. I ended up just choosing to embrace the look, as you can tell.

This is my first real video camera and I started on DSLR cameras, so I have a long road ahead of me. Thankfully Barry's book arrived yesterday and I am going to read it cover to cover right away.

Yeah man looks great... I'd love to see Crumping slowed down possibly with Twixtor... could get some very very cool images that way. In any event looks great! Nice beat too!!

Yes, it has grown on me.

Just goes against what most people on here and from other places have said is correct. Never blow out etc.

I don't think anyone can tell you what is correct and what isn't. You can break the rules as long as you do it for a purpose, which is what you've done.
