Thank you!
This project has been a year in the making. Most of that time was spent trying to secure funding. At the 11th hour in 2010 we received a grant from the Bissell foundation here in VT that fully funded it!!!!
We're all very excited, and heavy into pre-production. Those dates are coming up fast! Much to do...

Thanks Zaza! Yes, those heli shots are fun. It really gets the blood pumping when it's dark and I fly FAR away till it becomes a little dot. .."now which way is it going?..." Especially when I think about the $$$ up in the air.
For the movie we are planning some long heli-cam shots where I will be flying the chopper from a chase vehicle. Should be fun.
Dan Sparling- The brain behind the Roadcones idea, and mad genius art director has created some amazing special props and set pieces for this movie. It will be like nothing you've seen before.

I always wonder: how come they're never soudnpeople on posters... only: DOP, directors, producers...even make up/costume which also is a "nobody sees is but if it's done wrong, everybody has noticed it" thing...

Yeah, I've thought about that before too.. and funny thing is, I AM a sound person 1st, director and all 2nd. In this case, we didn't have someone on board at the time I made the poster. Need to go back and fix that (although I don't think there even is a "Production Sound" title in the movie poster font I used). Thanks for noticing.

HAHA, NOW THATS FILM MAKING!!! Loved it!! What are you shooting on, DSLR'S? Not that it matters, just noticed it being relativly dark and I didn't see any lighting rigs, so hence the dslr observation. I cant wait to see this. Im in MA. And vacation in Woodstock VT. everyyear, (woodstock inn). I love it up there. So im ab;le to get a good visualization of the area your working in. Keep us posted, thanks

Yup. All shot on the 7D. The cam inside the truck was a Contour HD. Love those little cameras.
It was shot day-for-night, which you can see a little test CC on one of the last shots of the truck.
It took a LOT of planning and permissions and insurance to get to do that stunt. The advantage of shooting in rural VT is that people are very supportive and open to filmmakers.

Well, I was VERY busy finishing this for its premier and neglected this thread. Suffice to say, it's DONE and we had an amazing premier at the VT International Film Festival. SOLD OUT the theater of over 160 seats and had to turn people away. Wow! That was crazy and surreal.
First Post updated with the Official Trailer.
Friends can PM me for a secret version of the movie. Would love to get your thoughts.
This was a great and exhausting experience for me. I thought I was ready to make a feature before this, but I think that would've been a bad move. We all learned a ton on this production that will really prepare us for a feature film... which is in the works.
Screening tonight at River Arts in Morrisville VT if anyone is in the area. :)
