I've never been one to just let things be. I decided today that I would move my hardrive's from right ontop of one another to give it some room so they don't run so hot, only I accidently put strain on one of my Sata connections on the board and opps,,,, that sucks. Anyway's I don't know what happened but my hardrive won't boot nomatter what settings I use in the bios so I've had to take the kick in the nuts and reinstall the os... luckily I back up most of my stuff but I was working on a treatment and lost that... what really sucks is I told the artist I'd e-mail it tonight :undecided
so now I'm going threw the painstackingly long task of reinstalling all my software for the next 4+ hours.... Thank god for laptops....

Tell me about it! I've just spent close to $500 dollars on what was orginally going to cost me $10 for a CPU fan. I ended up jacking everything up and now I'm $500 broke!
I think its time I convert to Macs! The G5 sure smells pretty good!

Hence my tag line bellow. After 17 years of being a techie, I got tired of fixing my own computer, and especially others. This is one of the reasons I switched to Mac.

Amen BROTHER!! Every member in here is probably the resident PC Mr. Fixit guy of their FAMILY!!
"ring, ring, ring....Hello.....Oh hi Aunt Susan. Your computer is doing what? Sounds like a virus. Bring it over and I'll take a look at it."
...a few hours later....
"ring, ring, ring...Hello....Oh hi Mom. What, you got charged for looking at pr0n sites *again*? Sounds like spyware and adware again. Bring it over and I'll take a look at it."
Sound Familar to anyone else on this board? If I had the money I'd buy them all Macs. This would probably cut down on my *tech support* calls that I get several times a month. Cheers to Steve Jobs & MACs!! ~reservoir~

I just read an article in Business 2.0 about Apple and it said the iPod should generate as much revenue as the Mac by 2006. Ha Ha - death to the Mac!
I have a vision of the future where the only thing Apple makes is music hardware... wouldn't that be funny?
OK - all you Mac guys can start flaming me now. Come on - I was just joking. (But I wanted to put it in print so 4 years from now I can say "I told ya so.")
I am that PC tech guy in my family BTW and I've cut down on my tech support by 50% just by doing two things.
Making all my family members stop using Internet Explorer and switch to Mozilla.
And I send them all an automated email weekly reminding them to run LiveUpdate on Norton's.
