I create new solid with different color on top of my comp layer. Then I make new solid smaller size then my comp size. I drag couple still images stack them up on top of new solid layer. Basically I want still images layer to follow solid's height size not width size without trying to drag and manually resize it.
Or what the best way approach this.
thanks,

No wonder it took long time to understand my poor english. Sorry , guys beside english my second language, AE also new to me.
Let me try again. Please follow me.
1. Create new comp make it black color
2. Create new solid make red color. This new solid will fill the entire comp layer right. Ok, then resize it make it look like a banner. much smaller size the comp layer same width with comp layer.
3. Import 3 images. Drop them on top of solid layer. Distribute 3 of them to same size and width with soild layer.
Question how do you this without manually adjust it's height and it's width with the solid layer.
I can resize the three images with the solid layer but I have to do it manually.

I hope this make senses. If not I can send the picture.

I'm not sure I follow. Is the solid animated and moving?
Manually resizing is the easiest way. If the solid is animated you'll just have to set keyframes at the beginning and end of each move.
Not sure if that helps but I'm not sure what you mean.

Wait I just reread your post a couple of times and think I know what you mean.
Try adding a null layer and animating that. Then parent the still layers and the solid layer to the null and everything will animate the same.

I think i'm reading it right, and if so, caveman hit it on the head (as always).

What is your intended use of this? Are you animating photos or is this part of an effect comp, etc?

It doesn't matter. I just need to make my photos the same size of my of banner. I don't mean this to make long discussions.
I could live with manual resizing but I was wondering if there is anoter way.

O.K. I gotcha.
Go to your timeline and shift select all 3 photos. Then click on the scale of one. Type in your size and all 3 will change accordingly, then you know they will all be the same size and then you can position them where you want either manually or by typing in your position in the timeline layer controls.

p.s. - your english is fine bro'
have you ever seen olegs posts in the audio section.

Thanks Caveman,
Like in photoshop you can snap to grid or you can tuck in with all shortcuts key. Try this if you will please? create new solid make it diffrent color than your comp layer so you can see. Then resize. Leave it 100% width and 32. Now position it to 360 and 230. Then import 3 images with different sizes (mixed: landscape and portrait). Contribute them evenly on top the new solid. I can resize all of the width equally but the height match to the solid layer it seems I have problem. Is there any better to do it?
