Has anyone used Edius for editing? How does it compare to other programs like Vegas etc?

i heard good things about edius.

I have used Canopus since I came back to Video about 5 years ago. I currently use Edius 2.5 & it is a very clever editor, much more clever than I am as an opperator. I am not sure if 2.5 can handle Progressive? I have not been that far. There is a V3.0 out now & I intend calling Canopus about that. One thing I have found is that if I am stuck on something, one phone call to their techo people & they set you ribht without making you feel like a dummy.

I am using Edius Pro3 with Storm2.5. It is good and easy to use. It also can do HDTV. The only bit I do not like is the title program but then there is always everybodys favourate "Ulead 3D"

I feel the same way, I am seriously considering edius pro 3 but i am not sure how it will work with 24p footage.

I am attempting to capture footage shot on the DVX-100a in File Mode 6 into EDIUS and can not see an image in the preview window and can not capture the footage-
Any Advice?
Wondering if there are certain setting I should know about?
