Hi there.
I am having a problem.
I had to formatt my pc. Now i have a couple of hard disk. One for the soft and the other for the data.
I install again all the the software, including avid and Tmpgenc.
I normally use avid to edit and output an Qt ref to compress to mpeg with Tmpeg.
Normally till now. Tmpeg donīt take the Qt ref. Donīt know what to do.
I donīt check the avid codec options in the export settings.
I was thinking that maybe has something to do with the hard disks. (If the omfi files are in one hard disk and the Qt ref in other (could that be?)

Well. I hope someone had these troubles in the past and can give enought light to arrange it.

it is probably your hard drives. One of them could be faulty and can not reference the QT files. Do a file transfer from one drive to another and you should see it right away.

Download QTReader frpm here:

The MPEG2 encoder you are using does not naively read QT.

Ok, so I thought I'd give it a try too. TMPGEnc won't seem to encode a QT Reference file. It reads the audio file but not the video file. I was able to get it to work with a FUL QT movie but not the QT Reference.

Any ideas??

Thanks,

DId you download the app from the link above that allows it to read QT ref?

Sure did. It reads the QT movies but not the QT Reference files. Maybe it is the way I am exporting via Avid?

Hmmm... if you are using the Avid codec when making the reference movie, it should look like a quicktime movie to any quicktime enabled application. Can you double click the QT ref movie in MovierPlayer and see picture?

Ok, I got it thanks. It was in the settings of Avid when I first exported. Now, I just need to get AXP v5.0 running properly with the Mojo (see other thread)!
