They're pics of a new cam but not the one with 1/3 inch chips that has been discussed. This will be a much more expensive camera since it has 2/3 inch CMOS chips.

It's speculated to be around 10 g's with lens (13x or 16x Fujinon).

Yeah this baby blows away the sony, but the price will be a part by a lot

Face it there is an electronics monopoly sony's hdv will be the affordable more prone to repairs and skips in video while others will do there thing

sony/samsung are the same company

pana/jvc are the same company

sony and pana are cousins in a centz they all compete & get along at the same time

dont you just love electronics consortiums

You can't say it "blows away" the Sony until you clarify what you intend to use it for. If your goal is to shoot 1080i video, the JVC can't even do that. If you want a "b" camera to intercut with your HDW750 or whatever, the JVC would probably not be the best choice there either. Now, for matching with a VariCam at 24p, the JVC would probably be the better choice over the Sony.

In any case, it's way too early to talk about what's superior over what, until we at least see an official announcement and official specs! :)
