Okay, the NAB 2005 starts on April 16 resp. 18. So my question is: When will we finally get all the infos about the new so called Panasonic HDX100 camera? Jan, will You post it on April 18 at this forum? (Or on April 15? ;-)) Or will there be an official announcement on a Panasonic site? And if yes, what about this game: You give us the link right now, and the first, who will see something, gets a Jan's autograph (plus a new HDX100) for free!?

I suppose that the DVX100B lead-free (no new features) version will be announced at NAB too? Or is such a "minor" release not worth mentioning (as it's just to satisfy certain regulations)?

The DVX100B will not show at NAB. It has two things, a new color, for the silvery parts, and no it is not shocking pink, and the lead free.
The evening or morning after NAB opens I will post the particulars on the new camera.

It seems I am having e really stupid question, but a really do not know it: What is that lead free issue? May somebody explain it to me?

In short, certain countries, I believe most of Europe, requires that any new products sold must be lead-free. This new regulation is to protect the environment. So, if companies, such as Panasonic, want to continue to sell in those countries, they must change their manufacturing process to exclude lead from their products.
I am unsure of the deadline though.
