GH-13 low light Match Test ISO 640/800

Here is a test I did with my GH-1 after seeing MR. Blooms video, I'm not trying to prove anything was just wondering what my camera could do in a similar situation.

I tried ramping up the ISO and using other tricks (shooting in S mode) but when I looked at my footage everything was too noisy even if I ran them through furnace. So I decided to just use ISO's below 800, mainly 640 with a little 800. This video is ungraded ran through FCP and then out through compressor.

Wow that looks great - as good as 7d's lowlight. Did you do the "burn in" process on your cam? And what aperture/hack settings did you use?

Just got a fd 50mm 1.4, so will be eager to try it out!

I did not do the burn in process, my camera was purchased from japan a few months ago. I was at f1.4 and I was shooting in FHD with the settings, 60,50,40,62 , nothing else different shutter was 30 fairly normal settings aside form the hack.

I love the 50mm it's great you'll enjoy it.

Looks very clean. Shows you don't need to shoot crazy high iso to film by candle light. I very quickly tried the same thing the other day, at 1600 1.8 and got a little FPN and it was noisy, but the exposure was what I wanted.
