In another post I talked about issues with Quicktime viewer on the PC. I thought I'd take a little informal sample on how people plan to watch the films.

I plan to use VLC and MediaPlayerClassic if I'm watching on my PC. Otherwise I'll throw them on a drive and watch them on my LCD TV using a Western Digital Media Player.

What will you use?

Hadn't even thought of this issue - Eagerly awaiting consensus...

I actually managed to watch quite a few on my iPad last fest with a set of headphones.

I usually watch the finalists on something larger, TV or Home Theatre.

Should be fun. :)

I download them all and use a WD Media Player to watch on the big screen.

If I'm on my laptop, I'll probably use VLC as I can set up a playlist. If I'm in my studio, then I'll probably go the WD Media Player route as well. I've had it for a while, but only recently have I discovered how easy it is to load content onto since it is on the same ethernet network as my computer! I used to have my computer hooked up to my LCD TV, but not anymore.

I like to batch convert and send them over to my Apple TV. Then I can watch them on my big screen :)

Laptop/12' screen/1080p DLP projection in my HT. ;-)

Or...on my iPad.

(can we have bigger file sizes or host on vimeo to get at least decent 720p? I know, call the waaahmbulance!)

I really like my WD Media Player. When the HMC-150 came out I picked one up. It was perfect because it could decode the HMCs MTS streams, which are coded in H264 High Profile.

I'm now gathering my film making buddies at my house, having a few drinks & watching all 26 films on a 50" TV, since the other half and kids are away for the week. :)
