I was looking around for some good fast zoom lens for micro 4/3 lenses like some of the Canon L series 2.8 zooms...but I don't seem to find any. Is there a lack of them? With the AF-100 coming out will Panasonic or Olympus address this? If this is a film/ video camera, I would think you would need a good lens...fujinon style at least. Any thoughts?

Those are both F2 and cover you from 14mm to 100mm.

Hey Joe:
so going from 4/3 to micro 4/3 do you loose anything line in this Olympus 14-35mm f/2.0 ED SWD Zuiko Zoom Lens?

I don't believe you would "lose" anything at all, just put the adapter on the camera, and start plugging your lenses into the mount. Piece of cake as they say.

the reason I ask is that when I adapt I Nikon mount to micro 4/3's or or a Zeiss..because is not a micro 4/3's then my 50mm or 85mm never seem to be a true 55 or 85mm...maybe I am missing something

Well there's the crop factor that's been mentioned ad nauseum on these boards over and over, try using this tool to figure out what you're lens field of view will be:

The FOV of 4/3 and micro 4/3 is exactly the same. The sensor is exactly the same. The only difference between 4/3 and m4/3 is the distance from the lens to the sensor. The m4/3 distance is shorter, which allows them to make thinner camera bodies. The 4/3 distance is longer, which lets them put a reflex mirror in there for an optical viewfinder. In m4/3 you have electronic viewfinders because the distance is too short to allow a mirror.

Their was a rumor that Panasonic is releasing a 12-75mm, f/2.5-3.3 lens but it looks like someone just wrote down the specs of their dream lens. It would be incredible if that turns out to be real even though I'm having a hard time believing it's possible but you never know.

Hey Barry thanks for this info...I was a bit puzzled with this...now I see. What would you recommend for a good pair of lenses? I am looking for something to mimic what I have with my 5dmkII and 7d. I have 3 lenses i primary love to use:
Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Autofocus Lens
EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens
Zoom Telephoto EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM Autofocus Lens
I am not familiar with Olympus lenses but I see that the ones Joe sent me a link to are quite expensive...which is ok if they are worth it. Being that I already plunked down the money for the AF-100 with B&H I want to make sure that I get all the pieces ready to go when it finally comes out. Any good micro 4/3 wide lenses in the 10mm to 16mm range?

Their is a Panasonic 7-14mm lens and a cheaper Olympus 9-18mm lens. Their both Micro Four Thirds.

Depends on what you want to match. If you want to match the FOV on the 5D, you're going to need half the focal length (so, to match the 24-70 you'd need a 12-35, etc). But to match the 7D it's much much closer already; to match a 24-70 on the 7D, you'd need a 20-58 lens.
The 4/3 wide lens that's probably most interesting is the Olympus 12-26, that'd be a pretty comparable match FOV-wise for the 16-35 on the 7D.
The Panasonic 7-14 is extremely wide; only drawback is it's an f/4.

Just saying, but I think someone should go lurk the various lens topics in this section for a bit. There's a lot of restating going on here.
