What can you do with Magic Bullet to help make your DV footage look more like film? Any tips for the inexperienced?
Still trying to figure this out.

de saturate, turn up contrast and adjust brightness accordingly. Other than that, it is a style all its own...

play with the pre and post saturation(but desaturate mostly) and contrast alot and adjust accordingly. There are many ways to play around with the colors to make it film like as well. Your colors have to pop out but not necessarily drenched. And diffusion is not the best film look so don't over diffuse.
most of all, it's how you shoot. films usually and almost all the time have shallow DOF shots that makes films look different from video... magic bullet should only enhance those well prepared shots.
