It was cool! I can't say all that much for the movie itself, but th editing style was very original.
It was meant to give a comic book feel, of course, with multiple "frames" on a "page," and the the shooting style (angles, facial expressions, etc.) were very comic book-like as well. But . . . it doesn't HAVE to be used for just a comic book movie.
I think we'll be seeing more of this editing style in the future. If the movie isn't worth seeing for anything else, it's worth it for that.

.. i agree for sure. i really like the slices of things you can see type style. similar to the ben affleck movie "paycheck" trailer. im not to much of a guy for overstyalizing something, but i really like that sort of thing when its done well.

That technique is a style all its own. Cant say I like it though. Takes me out of it when I see multiple or split screen action.
I thought the movie was better than I hoped it would be, but not worth seeing a second time. What ruined it for me was the CG Hulk. Didnt look good at all and very fake. Not at all plausible.

Man, I am so glad to see a thread on this. My friend and i argue constantly over the editing in that film. I love and of course he despises it. I thought it was really well done and added to the comic book feel of the film. very good stuff. As for the hulk, i thought he was really well done. Of course you can say it looked too "CG" but I thought ILM did a very good job with him. Now that the bar has been raised by Gollum, ILM is probably bringing out the big guns for SW: episode 3.

Youre probally right. Its not secret they were going for a comic book feel and they did suceed on that. ILm always kicks ass on CGI I just thought it didnt work.
