Cleveland, OH User Groups

Are there any DVX100a user groups in the Cleveland, Ohio area?

If not, are there any members of this site that may have an interest in forming one?

I am in Solon. I am very new to videography, I have yet to order the DVX100A yet. I am waiting to see if they will start packaging it with Serious Magic's software.

There are several film organizations in town that has many members that make shorts, etc. Perjaps you are a member of one, and it is very likely that they may have many more members uning the DVX.

I have not contacted them yet, I am waiting to get my camera.

If you have an interest in possibly forming a group if we can get at least several more members let me know. Let's see what we can put together.

I am relatively new to the forum. However, I recently purchased a DVX100A, and I am beginning to get some gigs...I have a lot to learn! Tony, I also live in Mentor!

Dan, the DVX is a great camera, so when you're ready to buy, get it!

Steve Buscemi will be bringing "Lonesome Jim" to the Cleveland Film Festival as the opening night movie. He will be there with the producer and the writer.

As you all know, "Lonesome Jim" was shot with the DVX100, and he should tell about that at the opening.

Just thought you should know.

For those of you in the Clevelnad area there are several good resources of which you should be aware"

1. The Cleveland Indie Club - http://www.mdifilm.com/indieclub.html links to a group that meets monthly at Talkies (across from the farmer's market and the brewery in Ohio City, W25th and Lorain). They discus video techniques, as well as show and critique member's shorts.

They also have a Cleveland forum at http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/clevelandfilmmaking/

2. Ohio Independent Film Festival http://www.ohiofilms.com/main.htm
