I'm a new DVX100A owner and live in Burnaby. I would like to attend the meeting as well. I went to a similar meeting for XL1s users last year. We met at a cafe on commercial drive because it seemed central for everyone. I would suggest setting the date in about three weeks on a Saturday morning about 10:00 am so everyone can attend. Someone pick the cafe and lets see how many people can attend. If it works out we can schedule another meeting and hopefully anybody who missed can make the next one. Three weeks would be January 29th.

Do we want to meet in a coffee shop or restaurant? The Night and Day restaurant at Lougheed and Boundary might be a good spot. Say 10:00 am Saturday the 29th? I just bought a DVX100a and I would like to get one of the batteries I've seen everyone talking about. If Kai is attending the meeting he can bring one and I will pay him for right there. On a slightly different topic could someone tell me how long it took for Barry's book to arrive after ordering?

Well, I say that we just make the final date the 5th and see who comes. The place that DStone suggested sounded like it would be ok, but I don't know Vancouver that well so I have no input as to a location. Jared if you can make it on the 5th I would like to get a battery or two myself.

Maybe we are going about this all wrong. It sounds like they upscaled the meeting in Toronto and had a Panasonic rep. Maybe we should upscale things a bit. Jarred.....any suggestions?

I noticed that there has been zero activity regarding a meeting for Vancouver. I assume we were all waiting for Jarred to come back from his trip so he could attend. As far as I know he is back. If we meet I would like to see if I could get a couple of batteries from him and possibly his DVD on filters. It would also be great if someone could give us an update on Pansonic's plans to introduce a new camera. I read a few comments by Barry on a different user group. The Panasonic office is near Gilmore right next to Gold's gym. Maybe they could sponsor the meeting and give us some info.

I am back... will meet during the week now anytime except fromt the 12th to the 16th.
