I was wondering if its possible to use both at the same time? Has anyone tried it?

Basically doing ala Sky Captain.

you mean keying in real time? *I don't think that Ultra key is a real time keyer, at least not for that price.
could be wrong though, havn't used it before. HOwever, I don't know how you would get the DV stream from DV rack to run though Ultra key and then output to something else.

Actually my thought was to shoot a person on green screen, have some type of keying program so you could see how things match up.

I would think the only way would to have both installed on laptop and use captured clips in ULTRA immediately after to see results. Need a slight break between takes naturally and not real-time... but better then a re-shoot.

Ultra can chroma-key in real time. Have you checked out the "live preview" options?

You might even be able to run both Ultra and DV Rack at the same time if your CPU is fast enough. It takes quite a bit of CPU to chroma-key DV sources in real time, so I wouldnt even attempt it on a laptop thats not top of the line, or throttling CPU speed.

The only reason I see it not working would be two applications trying to access the same DV device at the same time. Windows doesnt normally like that, and it might not work. I can test it later today and see though, but I wouldnt call it a supported feature if it does in fact work :)
