Hey guys,

Sorry its not a DVX question but I figure you guys are pretty knowledgeable in this stuff. If its not allowed let me know but I didn't know where else to go.

Hey guys,

Just bought a really shitty RCA > USB adapter to capture video, here in CHina.
Most programs will not work, and the one that does Ulead 7 wont let the audio capture.

Now, what is a good free or shareware program that is great for auto detecting the video signal and bringing it in?

Thanks.

AVID, Free version wont work, I'm running Windows Server 2003.

I would look into VirtualDub. It will do what you want as long as you can get it to work with the capture hardware that you have.

Avid Free DV wouldn't work regardless of the OS because it pulls video via Firewire, not USB

Good luck.

I'm sure you can capture straight through your default windows capture program. Isn't there a media recorder that you can capture with? If not try scenealyazer, I've heard its a nice little program which all it dose it capture. Once you have your avi's captured. Take them into your NLE program.
