was wondering if someone could reccomend a good 3d program. im looking for something that is between $500 and $1000. i was thinking about electric image universe or hash animation master, any opinions on these? i use fcp hd, ae 6.5 and photoshop cs, is there a program that works paticullary well with any of these? at this point i think easier to learn is what i want instead of power
thanks

If you are going to do some heavy character animation, Hash Animation is definitely a great tool.

Cinema 4d is definitely one of the most underestimated 3D progs on the market. We did a number of projects with it and always got excellent results. Another good thing is, that two of the Cinema developers are the sons of my former math teacher at school.

If you want to try the best 3D freeware, try blender:

Yes Cinema 4D is good and has new renderers in it's latest version. Hash is good for Character work but quite unstable, Maya is great but a monster to learn and there is a evaluation version....www.alias.com

It looks like you already made your decision, but they taught us Cinema 4D at school, and I found it fairly easy to use.
