I’m new to digital film editing.
My question: I want to be able to achieve as close to the high quality quicktime output for the : small, medium, and large 16:9 format as seen in many movie trailers for the web.
I will be shooting with a Sony HDV-FX1E (PAL) camera and using the forthcoming version of Lumière HD Edit HDV for use with Final Cut Pro HD.
I want to shoot using the HDV format and tape for the camera.
What frame rate in Final Cut Pro HD do I use and what compression format?
If I use Apple’s Compressor, what settings would I use?
If I use Sorenson’s Squeeze, what settings would I use?
Which one of the above is would be the best for my use?
