New Sony Pro???

My "new" camera IS my old camera!!!!!

I gave it my best shot but just returned the xl2 for a full refund.


now deciding if i should get a dvxa or the new Sony.

IS THE PRO VERSION OUT YET???? Where???????????

No the pro version will not come out until the first quarter of next year.

Why did you return the XL2?

i tested it in several differnt conditions and just didnt like it.

didnt like:

tiny viewfinder
focus issues
limited length/width of 20x lens
general image (tweking presets didnt improve image much)
image didnt seem beautifal - out of box
xlr not swithcable line /mic
camera balance awkward

I would have only been keeping it to "look good" to clients on a shoot and for native 16 9....which wasnt enough to tip the scales.

Im sure another cam will be out in the next 6-12 months that will blow it away so the extra 2000 wasnt justified.

instead got dvx at 3200 and still had $$ for new tripod w nice head, some filters, green scrren backdrop etc...
