Awesome! First Rate! Epic! Worth every penny! Not hyped in the least bit. I can't even imagine someone coming in here and saying it sucked. Word.

I bought it the day it came out. Watched everyone for the first time on HBO. One of the greatest works ever made related to WW2.

Yes. Like Saving Private Ryan times 10. Nothing cheap about it. Huge scale. Wonderfully shot. The battle sequences are mind boggling. How about when they jump into France? :o

Anyone watching the Band Of Brothers Marathon on the History Channel? Every year right around the D-Day invasion they'll air the entire thing. If seen the series like 10 times, but it's just one of those shows that when it's on you watch it. Love it. I'm on hour 2 right now. I know what I'm doing for the next ten hours.
Spears just handed out some smokes.

I always get choked up at the last episode when one of the soldiers said "my grandson asked me if i was a hero. i told him no, but i served in a company of heroes."
i always without fail tear up with that line.
great show. one of the greatest ever.

Excellent series. I think it will actually stand the test of time more than Saving Private Ryan, which is cinematically amazing but as a story doesn't hold up to repeated viewings. The series sagged a little here and there for me but that's inevitable with an episodic mini-series structure. John Adams and From the Earth to The Moon had the same issue. Can't wait for the The Pacific.
