this brings up an interesting thought is "get a life!!!" a world wide slang? My world wide travels have been only to Canada, Mexico and those two far states Alaska and Hawaii

man all i wanted to know was what people thought about which would be feasable - pimpin out a hdr-fx1 or waiting for the zr1 or just saying the heck and get the xl2 - being new to this forum i thought i would just throw it out there for the more experience shooters for advice -

raw911, It all depends on how much are you willing to spend on a camera and what are your purposes for it. Do you want to make films? Or is this more for TV, news? Me, I'm a guy on a budget and I want to make films. I own a DVX and I love it. It pretty much does the job. I wanted to get an XL1/2 but it cost too much, at least more than the DVX. Plus the I had to buy lenses for it which I didn't have money for. In all, the fx1,xl1,dvx are all good cameras. I wouldn't mind either of them. All cameras have their positives n negatives. You have to decide what YOU want. The DVX is what I'm pimping.

The FX1 and ZR1 are the same camera with different options. HDV is something that many folks have found not to be what they are interested in now. Unless you are keeping the H in HDV as in maintaining high definition from acquisition to viewing, you gain little.
