I'm definitely using my Panny DVX100B for "The Writer". I won't have a chance to also shoot with the Canon 514XL-S like I wanted to.
I'm still unknown. My HPX is scheduled for rental as a b-cam on a doc, so I need to find a DP with his/her own camera, or "borrow back" my DVX from a friend who has it on long term loan. I have gotten so spoiled by P2 cards that I REALLY don't want to go back to tape.

Oh, it's just an old school Super 8mm film camera. It takes superb footage for a Super 8mm camera. There are better models too like the Canon 814XL-S and 1014XL-S. The footage for those is beautiful but they are pricey (considering).
I wanted to shoot with Super 8mm for artistic and storytelling purposes. There is a sequence in my film that would have benefited from being shot in a different format but I couldn't get the film cartridges in time to shoot it in Super 8mm.

I'm actually using this thing I snagged from an empty/unguarded room at IBC, it's called the AF100 I think. It's some camera company named "Prototype". Funny name, never heard of them, they have it written on the side. ;)

Yeah, what Elton said. So that's why has asked me to find someone who could "crank" it out. Wasn't sure what he was talking about, I guess we're going ol' school, we're poor.

Have you noticed anything wierd with the footage when you pan or do a camera move? I seem to notice all DSLR's have the same wierd wavey imager for some reason.

'Canon T2i - AT LAST'
I got mine at the beginning of summer but I sill would never record video with it. Unless all shots are locked down completely, which would be very boring. Why do people think recording with DSLR's is a good idea?

Look foward to seeing it. I am personally trying to figure out what the rave is with DSLR's. Many argue for using those DSLR's though it is my belief that their quality is inferrior to most prosumer video cameras.

Picture quality kind of sucks on the DSLRs. Low resolution, not so great dynamic range, wobbly picture, etc. But the charm for me is the ability to change lenses. We were able to get a nice variety of looks in "The Wallet" because of this. Dropped $70 and rented a nice set of primes.
