Effects in "Cronicles of Riddick"

does any body know how to do that effect in that movie "Cronicles of Riddick" when riddick fights with the boss at the end. Like, the boss was moving hella fast...with shadows of lines comming out....god damnit I can't explain.

yes....its very hard. lots of 3d characters, and i think they may have used some optical flow type stuff. its complicated. i will ask some friends that worked on it how it was done exactly...but i can tell you that its probly very complex.
