shoot your scene from two distances. the first far away, the second closer, zooming fast in both shots. your first shot should end zoomed in to fill the frame with approximately the same scene as the starting frame from your second shot zoomed all the way out. cross fade between the two shots in post and add some post zoom as well. done properly, this achieves a great effect.
