If you've never seen "Rustboy" check it out (especially if your a "The Nightmare Before Christmas" fan). One guy has been working on this single-handedly for a while now and it's pretty cool.

Is it done yet? I've been waiting for a long time on that...

No, unfortunately I don't think that he is done yet. I've been checking his site about once every week or so for a long time to see what the latest is. I do know that he is still working diligently on the project from his recent posts on his forum. His work is nothing less than amazing, especially when you consider that places like Pixar have teams of people to do what he is doing all by himself.

Thanks for the link--it looks like an interesting piece. I can't imagine the work necessary to put something like that together on your own.
his site mentions it's a full-time venture now, as he's aquired private funding of some sort...

I've been following the progress of Rustboy for a few years now myself and it looks fantastic. I'm glad that I shoot digital films though ... can you imagine what the rendering time is like for his artwork??? Even with super fast dual processor G5's ... we're talking days here. I'm sure it will be worth the wait though.

Yeah, his work is very impressive. I've looked at all of the artwork and short sample films that he has put on his site. I can't wait to see the finished result. Hollywood is already courting him.
