fireworks and lens flare

Hi,

I need two effects for a short film: a single firework explosion, and for another scene, to cheat a lens flare.

Both are going to play against footage, so I need a transparent background.
I know that FCP has a 'lens flare' effect, but somehow mine is not working.

Does anybody know where I can find those?
