Hi,
I have a logo that has my business name on it, and fire coming of the letters. Is their anyway that I could make the fire animated, like adding a moving mask over it or something??? PLEASE HELP!!!
Thanks

use fire stock footages.. I'm sure if you do a google search you might find some free ones. Once you find one, take it to AE and experiment..AE has some plugins that creates fire effects but they take long and sometimes look fake. 3D programs will work too. Theres a plugin for AE called pyroFX or something like. I don't know how much they cost. creativecow.net has some really good fire tutorial. Check it out..

If you want fire stock footage, go to http://www.detonationfilms.com
The file GroundFireBurst01 could very well be used. Looks really nice as well.

If you wish to keep it entirely digital, also look into Particle Illusion. It requires much tweaking te generate realistic fire, but it can (and has) been done. It's not too expensive either

Particle Illusion 3 is great. Alot of their fire presets are good and a little tweaking makes them great.
