Hi

I'm after creating a cross-eye effect on actors in post that looks realistic? Is there any software that can achieve this. My NLE is Premiere Pro, so if anyone knows of compatible software or a way of achieving this effect, let me know...

Thanks

Why don't you just have the person cross there eyes?.. Anything is possible in AE but requires alot of skills. What you're doing may require rotoscoping which can be a problem..

I think menotyou may mean that he/she wants to make the video have look as if you were crossing your eyes not literally cross the actors eyes. I think.

If you are going for crossed eyes from having a lazy eye I would just dupe the video and throw it on a new layer, then shift the new layer to the left or right and turn the opacity down on the layer so both are visible. I've got a lazy eye and without my specs, or working to control it, I see double so I've got some experience in the subject :)

a smart way to do it assuming that the actor is completely still for the shot is to have them look to their left and then to their right then use masking and layering to achieve a final composite where the left half of the clip is looking to the right and the right half is looking to the left.

to get the BEST effect have a cross eyed person
sit infront of your monitor
insert a clip on the time line
give him/her the mouse
in about 45 sec. you'll have a complete mess
and booya!!!

cross eyed fx no AE no combustion
