I'm attempting to track a shot of myself sitting at my desk. I turn to face the camera to reveal a cybernetic side of my face. The markers I used on my face are only visible from frame 50 on to the end of the shot. How in the heck do i track just those frames?I've attempted a track but AE wants to track the whole shot. I'm using AE 6.5pro if needed. I am also dl'ing the demo of Boujou bullet to give it a try. any input or tips would be useful. thanks

Edit: I think I may have gotten it using target tracks in Boujou. i'll keep you guys posted. I'm still looking for camera tracking info though, so if ya got it please post it. thanks

With AE you may have to set in/out for the shot to the frame range you want to track initially. Check the manuals. I use Commotion for tracking so it's easiy enough to set start/end and to also track in reverse.

thanks for that. The Boujou track didn't work so I'm back to square one :/ I'll look into the manuals.

Why don't you splice the footage you want to use before you go into AE?

We tracked a face at work using boujou. You may want to try and masking off everything except the area with the tracking dots.

Several options:

1) Discreet Combustion. Fantastic point tracking.

2) If you want to take the information and pull it into a 3D environment, check out The Pixel Farm's new offering "PFHoe" (regrettable name, but good product). http://www.thepixelfarm.co.uk/contentfull.aspx?content=pfhoe.htm

Good luck!
