I am working on a script for a short film I want to do, It won't be shot probably until next year most likely(I will shooting sports events for the time being),but I like to plan as far ahead as possible.
What methods/software would you recommend for getting a good thermal vision effect in post?
Thanks in advance.

Any attempts I've seen to "fake" this effect with simple colour adjustments have failed (i.e., Batman: Dead End). The way it was done in the Predator movies was actually a composite between real footage and thermal footage to give the high-frequency outlines of the subjects.
Probably the only way to do it well, without real thermal imagery, is rotoscope... with the requirement that the rotoscoper actually has a good handle on the temperatures of various objects are. If you had to pay the FX artist, it would almost be guaranteed cheaper to do real thermal imaging.
Hm. I wonder how cheap a real thermall video camera is? It's not like you'd need a particularly good one.

I looked into that and the cheapest I could find was 10k :-/
Which is why I am looking at other routes to do this.I could get a nice car with 10k lol.
I have some military shops buy my house that I think sell things like this,I am going to see if maybe I can rent one for a day or so.That would be only chance of using a real thermal imager.
