I know there have been posts about this, but I cant seem to find anything with a definitive answer to my question. All I am asking is how I can turn my 24pn footage, into 24pa footage, or at least make it look the same. When played on my computer monitor through premiere pro 1.5, the footage looks fine, but when I burn it to a DVD through premiere pro 1.5, I can tell what scenes were shot with 24pn and what ones shot with 24pa, because the 24pn ones are very flickery and jittery and have alot of strobing. Is there any way to fix this?

If you edited them all on the same 24p timeline, this shouldn't be an issue. Now, I don't know how PP handles 24p, but if it's all on the same timeline, it all should be rendered the same.

And, the 24pA footage should be the stuff that seems more jittery.

I'm wondering if the difference you're seeing isn't the difference in cadence, but just difference in lighting, etc., between the shots?

It's got something to do with broadcast levels... when the interpolation happens the interpolated frames change to broadcast standard levels where the others remain the same. This can give it a flickering effect...

Plant a broadcast standard levels effect on your entire video and try it again to see if the flicker remains...
