Did anybody ever use the BitVice MPEG2 encoder for MAC? If yes, what are your impressions on this piece of software? Is it worth it compared to Compressor?
Thanks.
I've heard good things about it, but haven't really used it. Fortunately, you can download a demo! ;D

I'm curious to hear what you think of it, too ... so let us know how it goes.

Hi,
I have had Bitvise for years & it works well for Media100 files. FCP & Compressor are a good match because Compressor will re render the effects to MPEG 2 without going to DV CoDec first. Bitvise will not, you need a self contained movie for it to work on.
See yea,

I second that.
Bitvice is really good, i used it back in OS9 days but now i use Compressor only.
