Why isn't there an easy way to export 16X9 squeeze footage from Premiere? Why doesn't the export movie function interpulate the footage? Why do we need to play with Adobe Media encoder to get the file to the right size? Am I missing something?

Are you working in a 16x9 timeline? Because I've never had any problems.

Yes I am. and when I just export movie as a Microsoft DV AVI and play it back it jumps back and forth from 16X9 to 4X3. for every frame.

THIS IS ANNOYING ME TOO! *

This is related to my HUNTING CAMP post in the clips section, so check that out for background...

I recorded in 24pA and squeeze mode with my DVX100a and I am using Premiere Pro 1.5 for the editing. *So I want it exported 16:9 obviously. *Well when I would try and export it directly from Premiere as a QuickTime 16:9 file it would always come out squeezed into a 4:3 box which looks like hell.

People (MAC users) would always complain if I exported as Media Player WMV format so I thought I should try and stick with QT and so I decided to export as an uncompressed AVI (which plays back the same way for me too rockwiler) and then import it into Media Cleaner (a third party program) which would get the 16:9 working right. *I chose "same as source" for the frame rate in Cleaner but maybe I need to specify 24 or 23.975?

Backing up rockwiler's post here anybody have any ideas on how to get a good export for the web to work right from Premiere Pro 1.5 in 16:9? * I imported all my footage using the Panasonic 16x9 preset and it looks good on a DVD, just not when I try and export any other way....
