Went to see Breakin All The Rules last night. One thing that caught my eye that I liked was the use of transitions. There is one shot where the camera is on a crane and it starts on street level and pans up to a 2nd story window of a couple talking then they added a transition where the camera pans out of the window all the around showing the ocean. Now they sped that shot up with time lapse because you see the sun going down really quick then the camera spins back around toward the window and its nighttime!
That was probably the only creative move I saw in the movie though.
