liney footage on dvd

I finished a project in fcp 3.
exported it as a self-contained movie
imported it into dvd studio pro 2
burned a dvd
when I watched it the footage seems to be all liney
horizontal lines everywhere.
does anyone know what I am talking about
and or how to solve this problem.

I'm pretty new at this myself so I'm not 100% sure on this and I could be wrong. But I believe you have field dominance problem. A program like cleaner might fix this. Someone once told me they had a similar problem and used cleaner to choose a dominant field setting (either upper or lower, experiment with either and see which works for you).

Other more experienced people should chime in here to tell me if i'm right or wrong here.
