Hi Everyone. We're slated to produce a series of twelve films for an arts organization in Atlanta called Flux Projects. Here's the first one. Would love to hear feedback.

Shot on GH13 with C settings.
Lenses used: Canon FD 55mm f1.2 and Panasonic 20mm f1.7 Pancake
Most footage is iso 800. Some color banding exists. Doing the burn now.

very nice..did you run into banding at all?it seems that your gh1 is free of that issue..very nice work

I like it... what did you use for audio? In camera, external...?

thanks guys.

sammysammy: we did have some banding issues. very subtle though. and it's much worse in the original than it is after compression and scaled down. we've done the burn some on this camera, and it has helped.

Bobomatic: had a lav on the subject and a sennheiser me66/k6 shotgun mounted on the camera rig, both of which were recording to a zoom h4.

Nice stuff. Cool subject. Loved the poetry.

The video did it justice.

Yeah the guy has a cool concept

It's a nice concept, but I guess some people in Atlanta see it more as trash.

Not according to their poll. 83 to 17 for the signs.

But then again who ever paid attention to polls?

the polls have really moved since i posted that. luckily, i don't think the anti-street-sign-as-art people have the email lists that the public art people have. and maybe people actually like to think a little every now and again. who knows.

Are they hiring any location or post sound people?

Interesting concept. Posting signs on public property without a permit is unlawful in most cities though.

great stuff! i really like the guy in it! we all should go for it in life and do something good and for the best reason... because we can do anything! all about the journey! there is no destination! :)

lots of things are classed as "unlawful" it doesnt make them wrong or bad things.

i suppose all the ancient cave scrawlings classed as priceless finds are unlawful too.... oh wait.... they were before it was "made bad" to communicate in other methods.

no harm done :)

"say something or be nothing = art"
