Hi everyone,
I have a quick question:
I created an anamorphic rendering in AE with a resolution of 720x480. After going through Final Cut Pro, I compressed the video in Apple's Compressor using the MPEG-2 Widescreen preset. I then opened the file up in Quicktime. While the aspect ratio looks correct, the movie info says the file is 720x404.
Is Quicktime just "misreading" the file size because it's anamorphic, or is this strange file size due to pixel aspect differences between NTSC and square pixels? Playback on DVD seems fine, but I wanted to make sure that I wasn't losing resolution and that nothing was being "chopped off" in Compressor from the top or bottom of the frame (it looks like it isn't).
Thank you for the help.
