Just bought the Torque DVD....was some cool 2nd unit shooting of the motorcycle sequences. One thing I liked was the opening credit sequence. When you saw Directed By....Written By...etc. on the screen you saw the shadow of the font on the ground! It was the coolest looking thing! They greenscreened pretty much the last big action sequence in the movie because they audience was led to believe that the 2 actors on the superbikes were traveling at 200 mph.

Yeah I actually just watched the movie tonight to try and get my mind off things.. and was pretty impressed with some of the camera work.. liked the swing tilt focuses and some of the camera whips.

I saw that credit effect in some other movie. Couldn't have been "Torque," because I've never watched it. But it was in something . . .

<Just a little rant> ::)
I just have to add my .02. Went to see it in theater, first few minutes ok good cam work fair story line. Then all the stupid stunts that no motorcycle can do, even with the best rider. We went to see a movie about motorcycle riding/riders and got suckered in to Biker Boyz sequeal. The desert scene with offroad motorcross bikes posing as street bike - AARRRGGG. Cameo by Jesse was ok but not needed, he should have thought about it harder.
Any who, details or fuzzy now and would like to forget I ever saw it.

Biker Boyz Sequel? Where did you see that? I didn't know they were shooting a sequel.
As for Torque. Another effect that caught my eye was in the Highway scene where they are driving the Nascar race car down the highway. The camera starts out in what appears to be the furthest right lane of the highway shooting the back window of the car in the next lane and you can see the main Actors in the lane beyond that. Well the camera effect is that the camera ends up going through that cars window then into the window of the next car in the next lane then its a medium shot of the guys on the bikes! I was like how did they pull that off!
Also how did they pull off the dolly move from under a moving train? Now that I think about it I think they said in the commentary that the train was not moving at all.

Dude -- as we say in the legal world, you "assumed the risk." Should have been pretty clear what you were getting into from the previews . . .
