Hello all and how are we doing? I have a problem. I have a G4 400mhz 512ram 2 120gb hard drives. I have final cut pro 4.1 and a DVX-100. Now my question is: When I export a video file to quicktime the video looks really choppy and crappy. What am I doing wrong? Do I need a faster computer? Please help.

if your using 24p then, YES :)
Well that's not necesarily true. You can edit 24p on a 29.97 timeline and export it.

I have a G4 1.25ghz mac with FCP and when i watch an exported film in quiktime it looks like sh*t. However the same file burnt to DVD looks like full rez quality played back on a tv.
I think it might just be a prob with QT.

it's the quicktime player that brings the quality down intentionally in order to force you to upgrade to QT Pro. If you already have QT Pro, select the video properties, video track, and enable the high quality mode.
