Insteresting to see the 2 cameras differences in:
1) Lens sharpness (Bare bone Fluorite lens vs Leica Dicomer lens)
2) Depth of field (lens and CCD)
3) Color rendition
4) Gamma
Some things are already clear.
DVX100/A- 1) cheaper 2)smaller/more mobile 3)Mini Varicam-like feel
4)nice LCD screen 5) more scene files 6) more shutter speed choices
XL2- 1)Interchangeable lenses... though Canon mount, not PL, Panavison, C or not even bayonet mount so you still need Mini35 to use motion picture lenses 2)better control placements for those who loved XL1/S 3)BNC in/out (no need for adopter)
Everything else is pretty much the same. They are both great cameras- just different designs. The choice is totally up to buyers subjectivity.
