Well, $4999.99, but who's quibbling over that penny?
So, I guess the question can be asked legitimately -- $1600 more than the 100A? Worth it?

If you need a 20x zoom, then definitely. If not, well... we'll just have to see when we put them side-by-side.

5 grand is a pretty penny for a 3CCD. However, if you need true 16:9 with the DVX, then you have to buy the $700 - $800 adapter. Couple that with a $3400 DVX and it gets pricey real fast too. Perhaps after a few months (in 2005) the supply of the XL2 will be plentiful in the USA and there will be a price drop...maybe in the ballpark of $4300 - $4500.
