Hey whats up Sid!
Man, I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I have to shoot a low-budget feature for a distributor and I have to deliver it in 16:9 format for DVD and also 4:3 for television broadcast.
I own the original DVX but not sure if I should just get the anamorphic adapter or just go for the XL2. I want to shoot in 16:9. I like the fact that the XL2 already has native 16:9 and interchangable lens's but I'd like to read more reviews of the XL2 and see more test footage before making a decision. Any advice? What do you think? What are your plans?

I'm going to wait until the son-bitch comes down in price. I was hoping for a $4200-4500 street price.

Expandore sells it for just over $4700, but then for you US guys the shipping will probably push it up to or over the local price.

Shavar, let's wait a until we can get our hands on one and truely test it out. I'm almost possitive that the XL2 will kick ass! It has to because Canon had a few years of research on the dvx and i'm sure they have it down with the XL2. I think i will buy one. If i get one before you do, I will definately let you know and you can check it out before investing in one ;).

For the love of humanity , Has this happend to you!?
"You forgot to fill out your name" darn- so then I click back and your message - (which you spend 10 minutes writing someting very clever) It is errased!!!
DVXuser Forums needs to fix the problem of when you write a message and click post; then click back and it erases the message....
This does not happen on other forums! FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant beleive B&H is just now accepting pre-orders! I thought that by now they would have already sold out of there pre-inventory. I called them yesterday and they said 2-4 weeks still.
So I decided it was b/c they sold them all and I was going to have to order from the second batch.
Thus, I orderd an XL2 from Zotz digtial. I hope they are good cause satan knows Ive had probelms in the past.

Let's do that. For some reason the XL2 seems a little
"softer", more closer to film and I kinda like that.

Joey, if you're wondering if Zotz is good (Not the camera) then yes, never fair. They are excellent.

You think? Seemed sharper to me. Others said as much, too.
Interesting.
