Very nice viewpoint overlooking the city. I presume that is the world-renowned LA smog in your wide-shots?

I really liked the sudden jump at 0.28 from diffused smog to the vivid saturation of the vegetation. It makes the colours pop out at you!

Kit lens, handheld. The look actually reminds me of what I used to get with my DVX, and that's a good thing.

And yes, it's the LA smog. And it's nowhere close to my beloved Mexico City smog ;)

I will definitely enjoy it! I also might be getting a job soon, so I may be able to finally afford some accessories for it :D

Nice. Like Carl, I enjoyed the juxtaposition of the dreary smog with the greenery.

Have to say if I had to live there I'd be up in those hills as much as possible. Mexico City is bad and some Chinese cities top that, but I think the poor people in Moscow (and other Russian cities) have everyone beat in the smog department these days. Hoping it will finally end for them. I guess some relief is in sight with temps of only 20º above normal which is still insane, but better than the 27º above they've been having.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Mexico City is far worse than LA, but honestly it hasn't bothered me the last few times I've gone. I used to have terrible asthma there, but not lately. In fact, my allergies seem to go away whenever I visit :D
