Yes there a few places i see now selling under $4500, one has a decent rep as well (biz-max). Makes it a interesting buy VS the dvx100a now espeically if you want the 16:9 as they are both around the same price!!!.

I bought my dvx100a from Expandore in Singapore and they are a reputable company. Here's the XL2 priced at US$4500.

However the big eye-opener for me was to look at the comparison images at the link posted above at

Here we can see a direct comparion between the XL2 and the DVX100 camera. I was astonished to see the difference in the chroma and sharpness quality of the comparision test images.

I know which camera I would choose again. *:-*

well...

although i still prefer the image of the DVX100 and 100A, it seems that this particular XL2 is defective...really, or the chroma level is closed, *good resolution but almost no color...maybe that's why there is no noise...he he...

For now, i still prefer the DVX100A imagery because it has gorgeous richer colors.
...but who knows what the XL2 is really capable of in the right hands with the right settings right now...

I'm still curious...

...and the Sony HDV is reality...
