Minimum autofocus is 3.5 ft?

I read that you need to be a minimum of 3.5 ft away from you subject for the autofocus to work. Is this only with the new 20x lens? Can you get closer with the 16x or 3x lens?

I would have to check tomorrow at the office on our XL2, but I suspect what is being said is that the minimum (closest) focus at FULL TELEPHOTO is 3.5 feet. The lens has a macro function and it will auto focus in macro, but this only works at the shorter focal lengths not maximum telephoto--- so the closest you can be and focus thru the entire zoom range is 3.5 feet.

Perhaps one of the XL2 users with the 20x lens will confirm this before I can check to be sure.
