I have hacked my gh-1 and I have a SanDisk Class 10 SDHC 30Mb 32 GB card.
I have tried over and to use these settings for MJPEG
MJPEG Size 1280M = Ticked
MJPEG Enco 1280M = Ticked
MJPEG E1 Quality = 400
MJPEG E1 Table = 103
MJPEG E2 Quality = 350
MJPEG E2 Table = 116
MJPEG E3 Quality = 250
MJPEG E3 Table = 120
MJPEG E4 Quality = 200
MJPEG E4 Table = 125
But it never turns out looking good. It looks like the color is off and has really low resolution. It doesn't look HD. I'd very much like to to look like this

Is there something I am doing wrong? The only thing I can think of that I'm not doing the same is this part:
MJPEG Size 1280M = Ticked
MJPEG Enco 1280M = Ticked
My version of Ptools does not have that option.
I'm using Ptools Version 3.40d
For avch settings I am using all the C options, but I don't check native 24, because frames seem to skip.

Ignore those goofy settings by reid.
want the best? use mpgxsvcd's settings for near 100% quality
Q1=400, T1 = 4
Q2=300, T2 = 4
Q3=250, T3 = 4
Q4=188, T3 = 4
That will get you 70mb mjpeg.
Do not tick MJPEG Size 1280M as you will have write errors all over the place...I have the same card as you.
Either go with 1440x1080p or keep to 720p both are sharp and superb (and theres speculation that 1440x1080 is just a upscale from 720 anyway)....
4.2.2 colour is not essential only if youre doing green screen work.

Oh for sure! Much thanks to mpgxsvcd as well!
Is there anyway for the settings to go even higher with normal stability?
In this video They say their mpegs are going to 1080p with their settings

I've tried those settings and I'm just not getting that same kind of quality.
Also, a really bad noob question, but in my manual for the GH1, it says the full HD settings is supposed to be 24fps, but it's always 30fps. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

To give credit where credit is due. modulr (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/member.php?u=54652) originally created the settings below and yes they are excellent and very stable at 1280x720 even with 4:2:2 checked.

24fps is FHD Avchd
1080p on mjpeg is unstable and youre better off sticking with 720p (or 1440 as I do)
These settings are about as optimal really...going any higher will probably not improve image quality only increase bitrate (and 60-70mbs is overkill as it is) thus reducing recording time greatly

Hey, thanks again for the help. I just wanted to know if this is decent quality.
I converted the fps to 24 in AE..
Woops, sorry. I guess I'll have to upload it to youtube first.
