XL2 and FCP HD

hello everyone,

Quick question. I am about to buy an XL2 and a G5 with FCP. Has anyone ever had any problems with FCP when editing XL2 footage?

Do the two work well together or is there additional software/hardware that is required for seamless editing?

Also, I plan on using my gear to shoot corporate and wedding video, would you guys recommend just buying the XL2 body and upgrading to the wide-angle lens, and just skip the stock lens?

Hi costman,

I have both the XL2 and the dual 2.5 G5 and they work excellent together. No problems at all with FCP and XL2 footage. 24p works exactly the same in XL2 as it does in the DVX so the footage is essentially treated the same in FCP. Hope this helps.

Oh, and regarding the lens, I would stick with the stock lense as you may need some of that zoom range.
